The Middle East had so much promise, but the band broke up during their performance this year at Splendour in the Grass. “Blood,” with its upbeat melancholy and playful mysticism, has shown up in all kinds of places, including the films Crazy, Stupid, Love and It’s Kind of a Funny Story, the Australian TV-show Offspring, and a commercial for European bank BNP Paribas.
